Former Manchester City Captain Takes the Helm at Turf Moor

Burnley Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Vincent Kompany as their new manager. The former Manchester City captain has signed a three-year contract with the Clarets.

Kompany, 36, brings a wealth of experience to Turf Moor, having spent 11 years at Manchester City, where he won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and four League Cups. He also captained the Belgian national team to third place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Kompany said: "I am delighted to be appointed manager of Burnley Football Club. This is a club with great tradition and a loyal fanbase, and I am excited to be part of its future."

Burnley chairman Alan Pace said: "We are very pleased to welcome Vincent to Burnley Football Club. He is a proven winner with a great understanding of the game. We believe he is the right man to lead us forward and help us achieve our ambitions."

Kompany will take charge of his first match as Burnley manager on July 30, when the Clarets host Huddersfield Town in the Championship.
